Stupid Tracie Story #935: Destruction of Home Depot

So, my cousin had an errand for me to run at Home Depot. She wanted me to figure out how to replace her screen on her patio slider or replace the door--what we needed to measure for that to happen. As I am walking to the back of the store to the Window and Door section, I pass by the paint section. I LOVE color. The quote from Vern Yip on HGTV "It's like a rainbow threw up in here!" describes my life..sqk. I recently moved to a new place and unfortunately, I am not able to paint however I want :-( So, I had this brilliant idea--use paint samples to paint picture frames, bookcase shelves, etc. Add a splash of color for very little $! I found several colors I liked and the guys there mixed my colors for me, and went to so far as to custom match a color for me--woot woot! As I am leaving the paint section with my arms laden down with the supplies I needed for the screen door, I reach into my purse and down comes the top most jar of paint onto the floor---lid splits open and out comes the paint all over the floor! The bring in these metal caging things to coordin off the area, call hazmat because of the paint...and well ya, it was a big pretty blue mess! As people walk by looking at the paint, they keep commenting on what a pretty color it is! (that's good!) As the guys are cleaning up the paint and mixing me a new conatiner of that pretty color, I tell them how my life is a series of Stupid Tracie Stories....The next thing I know, they are giving me about time...making sure the tool I bought for the screen was a dull plastic, asking how I managed to survive this long. Saying,
"Perhaps we should get her a cart!"
"Oh not a cart, a flat cart that we can load her onto too!"
"Wait, even better, the flat cart--but let's make sure we're safe--
let's just take her to her car, load her up, and drive her home!"

Needless to say, the next day when I went back for more paint, there was a look fear in their eyes--SQK
